For decades, Ehud Barlev has walked the path of creation, guided by infinite curiosity and a profound connection to material. His journey began in painting and sculpture under the renowned artist Jan Rauchwerger, laying the foundation for an artistic exploration that would cross boundaries and mediums. Even in more industrial endeavors -constructing exhibition sets and working with metal – the hand of the artist was always present.
A turning point came in 1999 with a transformative journey to Crete. Upon his return, Ehud founded his first jewelry studio, relying solely on intuition and deep respect for natural form. From the very first pieces- crafted in pure 24K gold-his unique voice was evident: a personal goldsmithing language free from conventions, exploratory and unbound.
To this day, Ehud continues to develop a style uniquely his own: organic textures, echoes of ancient traditions, spiritual symbolism, and surprising combinations of ebony wood, raw gemstones, and precious metals. Each piece is an intimate object-crafted to tell a story. Ehud works with techniques he has developed himself, far removed from mass production and rigid molds.
His creations have captured the hearts of collectors and art lovers worldwide. In 2006 he embarked on a North American journey, exhibiting in galleries in Santa Fe and San Francisco, and in 2010 he was awarded the prestigious Centurion Design Award.
